Engine light on but no codes showing

Ok. I have a '10 4-door rubicon. Manual transmission. About 3 weeks ago I changed plugs and installed a K & N drop-in filter. We went on vacation and the jeep sat for 7 days. Now I have the engine light on, but no codes show up. What now?

No codes with the self-reader? Or no codes with an external reader?

There are some codes that don't show with the self-read method.

Reset the car by disconnecting battery for 10 min then plug back to see if it shows up again
