Default DS18 Subwoofer enclosures

Curious if anyone has tried these enclosures... I looking to add some bass and there seems like a good alternative to the jl stealthbox. I also like that there are two that face each other, which should help add some spl. Any thoughts?

The JL Stealthbox is by far going to be the best sounding premade setup out there, although an expensive one. The DS18 has a nice, factory look to it, but it is plastic which is good for saving weight but not the best for acoustics. Also being sealed it will take more power to push the sub and you will need to find one that will sound good with the internal volume of that box. Also, that box is not stealthy at all and will sit above the rear window when viewing from the side.

I actually like the Select Increments NEOPOD, which is a small box that mounts under the passenger seat and uses an 8" shallow mount sub.

Thank you, the tail gate box Select Increments might be what I get in the future, but first head unit and replace stock speakers.

That looks like a decent box, and I like how you can easily remove it from the vehicle. I spoke with the owner of Select Increments once and he said the NEOPOD and the tailgate box gave about the same base output which surprised me.

I'm also researching this too. Reviews really like these subs, with the understanding that they will add the bass many people are looking for, but will not be thumping the mirrors off.
Important to have reasonable expectations. Also good to understand that speakers will sound a lot better after about 30 hours of regular use to "break in".

For small sub woofers that fit under the seat (only need 3" height), look at:
JBL BassPro Nano 6" Powered Subwoofer https://amzn.to/3UzH4YG dimensions: 7-11/16"W x 3"H x 10-1/4"D. $200
and
Kenwood KSC-SW11 Compact Powered Enclosed Subwoofer for CAR. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BO8O9XQ/ $140
11” L x 7.5” W x 2-3/4” D
Both are well rated & "affordable" with 8x5 or 8x6 powered speakers with included amplifier.

Another popular is a bigger 8" round sub with amp Bazooka BTA8100FHC https://amzn.to/3ElUD8W $250
HTH
