Dome Light and Reverse Light Upgrade
SO my ultimate goal is to go full LED on my rig. Little by little I will get there. Tonight as the title says I upgraded my Dome Lights and Reverse Lights to LED's. Figured I would post a thread with pics and links to the websites so that if any other noobs like me want to do it they can.
First let me start off with my Jeep.
2009 Unlimited Rubicon
2.5" Front Level Kit
18" XD Hoss wheels
33" Nitto Trail Grapplers
Superchips Programmer on the 91 octane
pretty much everything else is bone stock (not for long hopefully)
Websites
Advanced Automotive Concepts- AACstyle.com This is the main site where you can buy your bulbs and look at other cool stuff to do to your rig. I am going to put the Halo kit on mine next!
Welcome to the Frontpage The Bulb Guide here is where you select your specific vehicle and it tells you the replacement bulb for every light on that vehicle and will link you back to the main site to complete your purchases
The light output for the reverse lights now is litterally like night and day now! These LED's light the world up behind you! I chose the cool white for the Dome lights and they are nice and bright and easy on the eyes! My wife even commented that its was a very eye friendly color output. and as we all know happy wife happy life!
Anyway back to the matter at hand, the customer service was great at Advanced Automotive Concepts. They were very easy to work with and a pleasure to talk to. Shipping was quick and easy as well. Below are pics of the process just to show what all I did.
Comments/suggestions are welcome! Thanks for looking.

The tail light just as it sits. Had to take the 2 right screws out and the whole housing comes off.
What it looks like with the tail light off and the reverse light out of the housing
Factory buld next to replacement LED

Here is the new LED in the socket. I did have 1 issue, once everything was done and back together I tested them out and NO light. Took LED's out and turned them arround and WOW light! I guess they are polairity sensitive. Just an FYI if it happens to you.
Reverse Lights on.
Dome Light housing open
New LED installed. Had same issue, wouldn't come on. Took it out turned it around and again WOW light!
New LED's lit up! I dig the Cool white color.
Like I said hopefully this may help someone who has been thinking about changing them out. I have only been on this site for about a month, but I see a lot of great info and a lot of great people willing to help and just wanted to make my contribution.
