So they both just pop out? No screws?

Yep, the only thing holding it in is the tension of the clear lens. Once you pull the lens down, you can get the whole assembly down.

I'd like to do this mod in my 2-door ... anyone know if there is constant power under the soundbar in a 2-door. Twisting the switch for the dome light does suck ..

not sure on the 2 door...

but if you have to turn on the dome light at the steering wheel instead of push on push off at the sound bar it probably is not constant...to make sure, pop the lense cover down if there are three wires coming out of the bulb then it has a switched and constant....

Edit: I thought the 2010 or 2011 had buttons for each side of the vehicle. So the passenger and driver got independent light. I just looked at the Jeep website and the pics didn't show that. Did I recall this wrong?
Bump for anybody with info and a part number

I have. A 2010... No go in the dual side light. Just plain old middle.

I never got around to doing this, but I do have a led board in the front dome light , and no rear one at all now and it's great for me.
I have a home made trunk, so I put led strips inside of the back area so I can see, and I did the footwell led mod too with led strips and the inside has lots of light, as well as the back.

Had a 2008 shara, purchased a 2010 center domelight. Ran a hot all the time 12 volt wire to it. Just pluged the wire into the connector that had no wire in it. Worked great.
