Does my Rubi have a DVD play? (730N)
So I have a 2012 Rubi w/ the Uconnect 730N. The console says it reads DVDs and I can hear the sounds of the DVD no problem...just no picture. Am I missing something or do I need a secondary screen to play the actual movie on (even in park)?

Should play right on screen, both my 08 and 13 do. I know in some states, they are required to disable the video button on screen, maybe you are in one of those places.

Tried the e-brake, same results (plays the sound but no video on the screen).
It was purchased in Florida so not sure if that's one of those states...
Guess I'll have to stop in a local dealer out here in Cali and see what they say.

I will check my 13 tomorrow. I know on my 11 when the DVD started and I could hear the sound I had to touch the button on the touch screen. I believe it said view video. It only worked while parked.

IF it's unlockable... the dealer should be able to do it with a StarScan tool. But I know on the Grand Cherokee's, it wasn't unlockable, and you had to use the LockPick on the models up until 10' I believe.

Local dealer should be able to enable the "video on when in park" feature, but might as well get a lockpick so you can play video in motion. The lockpick will also show the video even if the previous dealership turned it off. So, if you get a lockpick anyways you can avoid the dealership.
