Default Do I have enough power

I need some advise. I own a 2010 JK Rubi
I'm currently running a winch which draws 85 amps light and 320 amps full load, plus 2 Hella 500's. Would an extra 5 Hella 500's be too much on the stock alternator and battery?
On another note, for running more electrical equipment, some told me go with a bigger alternator, others said duel batteries. I know both is the best answer, but if it was one or the other, which would be the best solution?
Regards,
TNT

If you use a little common sense, you will be OK with what you got. I wouldn't recommend using all that gear at the same time even with a complete electrical overhaul.
Your batteries are you reservior for power. So if you want to opperate more equipment at the same time, then adding batteries is the way to go. But you choice isn't really this or that. Once you begain to drain those batteries. Your going to have to charge them back up.

Do you know what wattage the Hellas are? If they are 100 watt bulbs your looking at 8.33 amps EACH with 7. Light burning that's 58.33 amps alone plus what ever your jeep uses normally. (headlights, radio, electronic fuel injection) I'd say buy a capacitor. If you buy a Extra Battery your just putting more load on your all ready over loaded alternator to keep it charged More than likely you have a 90-110 amp alternator A bigger alternator would help but your still just looking at 150 amps at $500 bucks You can buy 2 capacitors for that price. Thats my 2 cents worth

I'm pretty sure that the Hela 500's are only 55w. And, I don't think that cap's will hold up very well to a 300A continuous draw of a winch. They work pretty good for hard hitting base units though.
