DDM 35watt HID
#1
So I threw a set of DDMs 35 watt Hids in my 07 rubicon, H13 low beams and H10 fogs. Both 35 watt. Anyway. The low beams are flickering so fast, and then they power off and even throw up codes on the dash ( traction control lol ). I'm assuming I need the error eliminators? And also my fogs clicked on for about a second, and then shutoff. So I'm assuming the PCM is denying them.. Would error eliminators work for them too ?

I installed the DDM 35 Watt HI/Low kit on my 2013 JK. I didn't get the harness or error code eliminators. When I first installed them the driver light didn't come on so I turned them off unplugged the passenger then it came on did this a couple times for about a week now 8 months later never had a problem after that first week

I installed my 35w hi/lo kit today. I like it, except with the Jeep running and the high beams on, it's making a buzzing/humming sound. Anyone have any experience with this issue or how to eliminate it?

If you get the hi/lo kit within the last 6 months with harness you shouldn't have any issues. We accidently busted up my last set when installing the snorkle, previous one had the hi-beams flicker... The 'new' set looks much more well built for the same price and it also doesn't flicker. Both times I got the harness and no error code eliminator, 35watt.
I believe the humming you are hearing is the magnets. Since HIDs shouldn't not be turned on/off quickly like hi-beams are required, the actual light itself moves back and forth to reposition in the housing. This is done with a magnet I believe, so when you turn on the hi-beams the magnet energizes and holds the lightbulb back further in the housing. Its a semi-faint sound but audiable when the engines running and your near the side or front of the vehicle.

I have DDMs 35W 5K HIDs in my headlights and fog lights.
What you need:
- Hi/lo headlights with relay harness
- Fogs do not need the harness (unless they flicker). Mine don't flicker and they plug into the factory harness.
Food for thought:
The smaller housing for the fog lights make them appear brighter than the larger housings of the headlights even though they are both 35W.
Get 55W headlights and 35W fogs and it will look identical and the headlight housings are easily large enough to withstand the heat of 55W. I know because I run DDMs 55W 5K in my M109R motorcycle which is roughly the same sized housing.
