Lmao...I'll not be going that far! Just thought it would be cool to try something different...
I regret selling my 651s now that I had in the soundbar.
I'm more into throwing cash at the stuff that matters...and I have tires to purchase soon...
Thanks for the input fellas.

Do it and don't look back! Will it sound MUCH better, probably not but the treble on the 651 are a bit much. 6501 will be a touch warmer. I'm wanting to do the same. I have db6501 in front and db 651 in roll bar, will be changing to mm components up front and db6501 for roll bar(db651 will go in boat). You can be my lad rat, haha. Tell me how it goes!

When speakers are close to your ears, like in the sound bar, things sound better if the sound comes from a point source. A point source is what you get with a coaxial speaker; it is not what you get with a component setup.
Doesn't mean component speakers aren't great - just that the speakers are too close in the soundbar for the best sound to come from component speakers.
Also doesn't mean you should rip out components if you already have them, but sticking with coaxials in the sound bar is the easiest, least expensive, and best sounding option. Component speakers are perfect for the fronts because of the way Jeep laid out the front speaker locations.
This advice is based on a lifetime in audio engineering, but I totally realize that may not hold much truck compared to what is heard from Madison Avenue advertisers.

Touché...components will be going in the front! I can argue with well stated simple facts. I appreciate everyone's input!

Lmfao, I am so back and forth! I think I am going to put my db6501s in the soundbar and go with MMs or Focals in the dash. I'm not an audiophile anymore, and I just want the best bang for my buck. They don't pay Firemen enough to have 6k sound systems...thanks for all of your input!
