Default Check Engine code P0137

So, bought a 2012 in excellent condition from a reputable dealer (oxymoron?). All is well for a week till I fill up mid grade from a slightly less desirable gas station and the check engine light came on within a day. I successfully pulled the code from the "turn the key three times" trick and got "P0137", which seems to refer to an O2 sensor. Is it possible bad fuel would prompt that fault? (I checked the gas cap, etc...).

The bad fuel may have dirtied up the sensor enough to cause it to throw that code. It is a used Jeep though, so you might just have a bad sensor.
