Default CD wont play on a stock radio in 2008 Sahara

if i put a cd in the message says "reading disc", which is normal, then it will say "please wait" then usually "disc read error" and it ejects....anyone else having a problem with this and anyway to fix it??

Sounds like it could be a bad CD player if it does it with multiple CD's that play fine in other radios.

Is this a regular CD, or did you make the CD from a computer? Many times someone makes CD's and ends up with MP3's which if not finished correctly will not play in a CD player. Have you tried it in another CD player?

normal cd's and yes they play elsewhere and they did play for a little yesterday, but a s soon as i hit the seek button to change the track, it stopped working and wouldnt work the rest of the day........i will try again today after work but i also hear an unusual clicking....kind of like when you first put the cd in...almost like its not catching right??? make any sense?

Do you have kids? My daughter used mine as a "Susie" easy bake oven and stuffed it with paper. Took me a while to get out the paper.

lol...i do but they didnt touch it...like i said it was working but seemed to get worse over the last week until yesterday when it stopped working....prob not worth getting it fixed i'm guessing

The stock CD player in my '11 RES radio is pure crap. Dealer replaced it twice. CDs that play everywhere else won't play in the RES. I gave up and bought an ipod.

i have an iphone and i know i will just use that with itunes, when i get my lazy a$$ to do it.....lol....but i still like to have a fully working radio....i may just upgrade now that its broken
