CB Tuning?

CB Tuning?
I have searched around and have not found the answer. Where can I go to get my CB tuned? I do not have a truck stop near me. Would an auto store be able to help or an RV dealership?

Do it yourself :-) http://www.www.premiere-electronics.net/store/swr2.html and read this for starters: http://www.firestik.com/Tech_Docs/Setting_SWR.htm
Mods may want to move this to electronics section.

If there are no truck stops near you, just buy an SWR meter online. Walcott or any other online cb store has them. The one I have from walcott cost 29.95 and includes a 3ft jumper.

your swr is important so is having your c b adjusted (peaked and tuned) by a competent tech at or near a truck stop. if not near one a communication (2 way radios) company may help you. they will usually check for alignment of the frequency as well as tune your antenna and CB. peak and tune usually runs $20 to $25 and will adjust your antenna for the lowest swr. hope this helps. also http://www.claysradioshop.com/index.htm you can send your radio in and they will fix anything wrong with c b's.
