Other than for looks... what's the point of being able to turn it down? I could see with some big ass lights that arn't protected in anyway (which would look gay btw), but with a very slim LED setup like that?
Sorry, but I don't see the value in that. Other than for how it looks. As for adjusting the lights... if they're aimed right, you don't need to adjust them.

Mine cover everything in front of me and I can adjust the LED to my liking on the trail. Personal choice

Wow, you got pulled over for lights not being covered? Wow. What happened? I want lots of lights, but I'm not sure about the spirit of the law vs the letter of the law. Sometimes (fine, most of the time) I hate living in CA.

Lights mounted above 42" are considered "off road" lights and must be covered in the State of California.
