Default Car wash and Windshield light

Gotta question about windshield lights. I recently installed some Hella Black Magics on a set of KC windshield mounts. Is there anything I need to be worried about taking my Jeep thru the carwash? Didn't know if there could be some damage? Thanks for any help.

ive run my rig through the car wash a bunch of times. I have KC HiLites on windshield mounts also and they were fine. I mean, what can you do? If you are that worried, get a hand wash.... Mine are on there, I mean REALLY on there....like you can take a bat to them....so I think if yours are on good, then you should be fine.

The mounts are rock solid on these things. I took a tree limb to one of my fixtures during a thunderstorm last year. The limb mangled the fixture. The mount didn't move. Only concern may be the wiring. Keep it as short and secure as possible.

Yes it does seem really solid. Mount is not the issue. Just worried about lights. Wiring is short and secured. I guess it off to the carwash for me. Lol!

Maybe use a touchless carwash, just to be safe. I'd never use a carwash with the old style brushes, theyre horrible for paint, antennaes, mirrors, etc. I use the touchless all the time, and never had any issues with my lights

I have whindshield mount lights, and they have never been an issue. BUT when the hook on my winch grabbed one of those rolling brushes that go over the front that was a different issue.

The pillar lights dont worry me but the overhead lightbars like the delta skybar...well i removed it after the carwash roller got stuck under it and shattered my windshield while i was in driver seat....not cool watching glass flex towards face until it breaks....it was like slow motion horror flick.. The undamaged Skybar has since been removed and is sitting on my spare hardtop at home. Not sure im gonna risk putting it back on.

Some people like it to be clean before they get it dirty.
