Question Can Infinity basslink be connected to Overhead Sound Bar Speakers?

I have read mixed opinions on attaching a Infinity basslink subwoofer to the overhead sound bar. Have people had luck with this? I will be installing and it is much easier than going to the front speakers.

Question

Hi can you help me out with the connections. Im new to install but understand the basics. Was it easy to tap into the speakers. Where did you do the ground. And finally how did you get to the battery? Are there any other connections needed? Thanks in advance.

Well its been over a year since i put that thing in so il see what i can remember. As for tapping into the speaker wires i did that with some of those in line splice connectors under the plastic along floor at the bottom of the driverside door. For a power wire i just ran a 10 ga. wire from the battery back with a 20A fuse coming through the firewall somewhere on the driverside, i dont quite remember where. I believe i just grounded it to a bolt under the carpet somewhere in the back.

An that is all for connections. Does the sub turn on with the radio? Seems simple. If you can remeber the firewall location that would be great. Thanks for the help it should save me some time.

Yeah, the sub automatically turns on when it recieves a signal from the speaker inputs and then it stays powered up for five or so minutes after you turn the stereo off. Im pretty sure i ran the power wire through an existing rubber grommet in the firewall around the steering column. I was either able to run it alongside the wires already going through it or just poked another hole in it. Hope that helps out. Really, a pretty simple install.
