Default Can a 2014 jeep be started by a cell phone??

Hello,

I have a 2014 jeep rubicon unlimited with the "x" package ordered and was wondering if it is possible with the uconnect 730N system to start by a cell phone. Living in wyoming and working shift-work, winter mornings are misserable. It would be nice to start the vehicle on the bus ride back to town and have it warm and defrosted when i get there. I know the Grand Cherokees can be started this way, but cannont find any info about the Wrangler. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

King Con

Viper makes a system with cell phone starter capabilities.

Viper 5901/ 5704 with the smart start module should take care of you.

The factory system in the JK does not offer the mobile phone features like the next gen systems in the Grand Cherokee or Ram do. You'll have to add one of the Viper solutions mentioned above or something similar.

Why not just get the factory remote start?

My guess is the bus ride to town is a little out of range

It does have the factory remote start, but 35 miles is a little bit out of range! I was hoping that Jeep might have un update coming being that they have it on the Grand Cherokee.
