I was working on installing a new license plate light. And I decided I was going to tap into the running light in the passenger side tail light. I cut the wires but then decided I didn’t want to do it. So I hooked the wires back up and now the running light is not working. Is there anything I can try? Please help me this is really stressing me out.

Are you certain you have a good connection? Did you solder it together or just use a cheap crimp fitting? If you disconnect the wires again, and you just touch the bare wires together, do the running lights come on?

Did you cut through two wires at the same time? If so, you likely blew a fuse.
