Best windshield light mounts & are PIAA 510's a good windshield light?
So I"m thinking of putting a set of PIAA 510's on my windshield. I currently have PIAA 520's on my bumper. The 510's are a smaller light--4" with a 30 degree dirving beam pattern. Would these work well on the windshield? I really want a smaller light. I'm just not sure if this beam pattern will work well in this location. Also, my Jeep is black. Would I have any issues with glare off the hood?
And then I need to decide on windshield mounting brackets. Which ones are best? I think I prefer ones that are more outward, so the lights won't be in my view through the windshield, but I've heard that some allow the antenna to hit the light. I've seen where people just bend the antenna, but I don't really like the look. Since the PIAA 510's are small, maybe this wouldn't be an issue at all.

I have the Rigid Duallys, great price for the lights, using the smittybuilt mounts, not a fan of them really, looking into different mount idea's but the duallys are very bright for their size and their construction is crazy good and sturdy for the price.

I love my Delta Tech light mounts! Their great, i had the delta tech lights on there for awhile and i had no complaints. I switched them out for the lightforce striker 170s and their amazing. if you have the cash you cant go wrong with lightforce

I just bought rigid duallys and have been looking around for windshield mounts that I like. Saw these on here one day and loved the look. They are black diamond fabrication. Friend them on FB and you can order right through there. I'll post some pics and feedback as soon as I set it up.

I run the Piaa 520's on both the windshield and the bumper and are very happy with them. I use the RR brackets. While the 510's are smaller they wont have nearly the same output as the 520's

Can't wait to see them on your Jeep!

Got the lights installed. Ended up going with MBRP brackets. Made gaskets for them out of a bicycle innertube. Very happy with the lights. They are bright, don't glare off the hood, and look good. They also work well with the light brackets--no hitting the antenna like some larger lights.
