Hi guys,

A couple weeks ago when idling in a parking lot, my battery light came on out of the blue. Didn't notice any change what so ever in the rpm or brightness of the dash. I turned the Jeep off and turned it back on, didn't come back on. A couple days ago, I had the same thing happen except I was driving this time, no change again in anything.

Now today, I hop in the Jeep for a tims run. After driving for about 3 minutes the battery light comes on again, no change in performance or anything. Get the coffee and tim bits, drive back and same thing, battery light comes on, but no change in the performance again.

Any ideas what it might be? The battery is an Odyessy and just put in a few months ago. Vehicle has about 96k km.

Check the battery voltage with engine off: about 12.6 volts or more.
Check it at idle with before the warning light comes on: about 14.5 volts.
Check it when the warning light is on: should be the same as without the light, but will probably be less.
