Battery charger question
Saw this battery charger at Walmart only $29
Is it strong enough to boost a jeep battery or my girlfriends SUV battery if it were dead on a cold winter morning? Or not powerful enough judging by the attached pics? Thx

For 29 bux, and with the size of wire shown, it would provide 300 peak amps for about as long as it took you to read this.
A great jump-start backup is a spare battery on the floor of your garage. Then get a small smart charger for about 40 bux (NAPA). It will keep the spare battery fresh and ready for your jumper cables when needed.
I've kept an extra battery and smart maintenance charger for many years. Saved my butt a lot of times. The spare will last up to 10 years with the charger. Sometimes my spare is the one I took out of a vehicle. (I don't wait for a complete failure to change my vehicle batteries - specially with Jeep. I want that sucker to start when I'm 25 miles from the pavement.)

Old battery from my Diesel VW. It's in a battery box with a gauge and all kinds of outlets and connections. Small solar panel in a south-facing window. It's always ready to go. Once a year or so, I de-sulpate and equalize, load test, recharge, then put it back on the solar panel.

BTW, keep it off the cement with a board or something plastic, and keep it clean. A battery box from a boat or RV might be good.
