Front cam is mounted centered on the lower cross bar just the grill. I'd say mount the rear anywhere except the hardtop, IMHO you'll probably regret it.

I used the camera from LockPick. It mounted pefectly to the AEV third brake llight. No drillling, and you can bend the mount to adjust the view:

I mounted my wireless Peak over the license plate. It's not centered but works well. If mounting it exact center is required then follow others advice. Wireless isn't really a problem. How long do you use it? 30 sec 15 sec at a time.

I use mine for hours at a time sometimes, to keep tabs on my trailer. So, I went with a wired camera. Running the wires was no big deal.

Recessed in the bumper would be nice (mine sticks out). I've seen some in the license plate holder too that look good. Just keep it low so you can can catch an occasional upskirt at the gas station...
