Default Back up camera

i need some input i am thinking of 1. mounting it by the bumper or two mounting it on the hard top above the rear window than i can go in through the hard top through a hole i will seal up and i can follow the hard top wire harness. anyone with some input?

Bumper is a better idea. Then you can still use it when the top is off..

I mounted mine in the center cap of the spare. Works pretty well from there, and it's protected by the tire.

Don't get a wireless one-----camera flickers and picks up other cameras, such as Wal-Mart and Lowes

I agree with staying off the top, I had mine between the spokes of the spare top center it worked well till I put a cover on now it’s on top of the third brake light looks a little strange but still effective, I just followed the wires for the brake light to get inside.

here is my attempt..


the camera is on the bottom side of the license plate..



This mirror is made by Gentex. I think the same mirror used on some Volvo models.. I like it because it Auto-dims and has the screen for the camera

Camera from eBay $20 or so. Forthe mirror, if you google gentex visit their site. From there they show who sells their products. I forgot the name of the company but it shipped quick and cost less than $400 if I recall correctly
