Hi,

was it absolutly necessary to cut the plastic and the metal part?
I'am looking for a Avic-d3 which has same external dimensions than the Z1 but I don't want to cut into any part.
do you think it could be possible ?

for the dimmer wire i used the one in the center console under the radio that goes to the heating controls " orange with gray stripe" . works great ! its for the lights on the heating controls comes on with the lights.

hi i am doing the same install of a z2 and everything works great but i cant get the vss to work , could anyone help with that ? i followed the instructions on here but can seem to get it to work , if someone could let me know what they did. i read that i might need a wiring harness to get a vss reading . has anyone done it without a harnnes ? thanks alote
