I would like to up-grade my factory fog lamps to provide somewhat better view, but NOT so as to possible damage the lens or housing. Can someone make a recommendation???
Thanks.

One nice thing about the HID ballast is that it uses the same factory harness plug for fog light bulbs so NO CUTTING OR SPLICING INTO THE FACTORY HARNESS. PLUG and PLAY!

Simply remove the bulb from the housing.
unplug harness from bulb.
plug harness into ballast.
install HID bulb into housing.
Plug HID bulb into ballast HID harness.

Its that easy!

Not to mention HID is a lower draw of voltage than the stock bulbs 35 volts compared to 65 volts from the stock halogen bulbs. HID bulbs run cooler than a halogen bulb as well so no worries about melting anything like the housing or the lens. And most importantly MUCH BRIGHTER!

I have done this on my 96 Mustang with projector beam headlights and the Hella
4" round driving lights with h3 55w bulb and converted both HID's with the color of 6000k. I will never drive anything with out HID now!

Best part about the JK is $130 for the bi-Xenon 9008 (with the plug) and $88 for the fog. (shipping included!)

KC and Delta are ripping you off if you buy their HID kits! I can buy any housing from any MFG and place the HID bulbs in them! Then I get their set for less than half their price and I get to choose my color as well!

Where did you get them at this price? R they just "plug and play"? I've got the sylvania bulbs, and although they are an improvement, i'd prefer the HiD

Headlights will need this done to them for it to work due to the design of the factory's electrical system. This 6 dollar mod will remove the pulse from the electrical system and keep the bulbs from flashing from high to low and making a buzzing sound. Perform the mod on the HID kit electrical harness not the factory's jeep harness. Here's the link for the MOD.

https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...dlight+buzzing

Search Ebay for H13 or 9008 Bi-Xenon HID kit both bulbs are the exact same bulb. These are the headlight bulbs.
Then Search Ebay for H10 or 9145 HID kit these are the exact same bulb. These are the fog light bulbs.

Remember to ask the seller prior to buying it if the kit comes with the correct plug for the H13 or 9008. The 9145's do not matter those always have the correct plug right on on the ballast itself. You actually will not use the harness they give you because it will plug right in with no mods what so ever.

Hope this helps

Yep they do not cost much.. The Bi-Xenons are still a little more but it like 4 bulbs in one.

Here is some photos of where I located the ballasts on mine. They are nice and safe.

The Fog light ballasts are using the factory 9145 bulb plug. It was so nice not to have to mod anything for them...

The ballasts on the fogs have Velcro behind them and a nice big Zip Tie securing them on.

I used Automotive Goop to secure the headlight ballasts. The 3m double sided tape or Velcro would not hold them safely.

And yes those are LED turn signals too.. All other external lights on Jeep are LED's as well.

You don't have to do a thing with the fogs they stay true.. but the headlight's must to be adjusted so you don't burn out retinas of on coming traffic....LOL

Seriously if you don't adjust them you are a jerk in my book.... Take 10 minutes and aim them properly so you are kind to others.

To adjust them all you have to do is turn the screw right next to the headlight. You can access them with the grill still on.
