Default Another headlight question

I have read several strings about different types of headlights, (HID, XENON, Halogen, etc.) and realize like anything you can basically spend as little or as much as a guy/or gal wants to. What I am waning is a sub $100 improvement over these stock lamps. Some of the one's I have seen are more white and appear to be brighter but seems like you lose some of the width of the beam. SO in short, what is the best alternative for just a low cost improvement over stock??

Thanks!!!!

Default don't go cheep

Save up and get the good stuff , I run cibi'e , I here good things about IPF. I did find cibi'e knockoffs for 75$ at a swap meet there better then stock but don't compare to original, So save and buy quality . A good light refracts with the lens not the reflector, you have more control where the light go's and you don't need big bulbs 55/60 work just fine.

I went with the ipf upgrade and all I can say is that they are worth every penny. The difference between those and the stock are like night and day. Even though the lights are brighter with the better focused beams I hardly ever have people flashing their high beams at me now compared to the old stock splatter lights.

IPF from Northridge 4X4. It is higher than your $100 limit but it was the best $164 I spent on the JK.

yah, I just put a set of cibie 7" h4 housings + 55/60w narva +50 bulbs on my gf's 09 jk and it's night and day.

i wouldnt even bother with anything less than actually replacing the headlight housings.

I think the IPFs at $160 is a great deal.

I paid $270 for the cibie setup:
$82 for the Ford H13 -->> H4 adapters
$192 for the cibie 7" housings + Narva +50 55/60W H4 bulbs
grand total $272+ (incl. shipping)

Pocket the beer/liquor money for a bit

don't mean to hijack but are those lights on the bumper lightbar legal to run with your headlights on road? What are they?

I went with H3's or H4 lamps I think at 4wd about 79.00 very good lamps

ok been reading this thread and i do agree that the headlights are dependent on how FAT your wallet is. So i decided for the time being to do a cheap upgrade by changing out the light bulbs. Well i quickly discovered that it requires some disassembling to comfortably change out the bulb.

Now Ive changed many light bulbs in my many years of existence but am i just a retard or something because i cannot get the bulb to come off the grey plastic housing bracket. I know there is a little red switch that holds the bulb to the bracket but why cant i pull out the bulb to replace it, is there a trick to it or a magic word i have to say ?
