Default Another garage opener mod

I took the center console arm rest out, and removed the side panel. Click image for larger version

I split the door opener and soldered wire on the contacts to run a remote momentary push button switch. velcroed the opener to the inside of the panel. Drilled hole for the switchand mounted. Click image for larger version

Smart idea! Another variant would be to put the button inside the console, that way you can lock the console and prevent people from opening your garage if the Jeep is outside the house.

EIther way I really like the location of the remote itself.

VERY awesome for a first post. Great clean install. I love it. Do us all a favor and look at other simple mods and come at it from a fresh angle like you did with this one. Great job.

Nice job. I was just scratching my head this past week of trying to figure out a good location to perma mount my garage remote. That looks like a good location and is out of sight but still easily accessible.
