I took the center console arm rest out, and removed the side panel.
I split the door opener and soldered wire on the contacts to run a remote momentary push button switch. velcroed the opener to the inside of the panel. Drilled hole for the switchand mounted. This is my first post hope the pictures came through

Smart idea! Another variant would be to put the button inside the console, that way you can lock the console and prevent people from opening your garage if the Jeep is outside the house.

EIther way I really like the location of the remote itself.

Nice job. I was just scratching my head this past week of trying to figure out a good location to perma mount my garage remote. That looks like a good location and is out of sight but still easily accessible.
