I think if you build it up into the seat a little (Not on the floor, but mounted off the seat frame) you shouldn't have an issue. If you're reaaaaaly concerned, you could rig up a fiberglass (or even tupperware) enclosure for it, to protect the exposed sides of the amp. The alpines are supposed to run very cool, so they wont need as much air flow as other amps typically do.
