I really wish it had been optional so I could have opted out. Now I'm trying to figure out how to remove it. Has anyone done this?

Just curious - What is it about the soundbar that you hate?

Love mine. Sometimes a little tricky getting my daughter into her car seat.

The soundbar in the JK is 1000000% better than the one that the TJ/YJ era had. Love it myself!

Yes, you ARE the only one. It's not the best sound in the world (I don't think any Wrangler will ever hold that title), but it's plenty loud for me when I turn the knob.

x2 with another poster: Why exactly do you hate it? Are you extremely tall and it somehow cuts into your headroom with the seat reclined, or what?

If you are trying to get rid of it... you could post in the Free Stuff forum... I am sure you'll have some takers (I'd be one if not for 3000 miles away.

As for the 'how to remove' part, I'll take a look at mine, but I'm sure its not too difficult. Start with the top off, and I'd try the screws in the doorway (of 4door). With the top down, you can see in from the top and see whats next to remove. I'll get back to you this weekend hopefully with an answer.

Default How to remove the speaker pod

Remove Speaker Pod

1. Remove the hard top thump screws (7), if equipped.

2. Remove the four screws (3) and lower the speaker pod (2).

3. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) and remove the speaker pod.
