I've researched a bit on the web, cost seems to be between $350 and 400. Couldn't find a single negative statement about it.....

My luck, I would get a thief that wanted a smoke before he drove off with my Jeep!

You should check the revelco website for a "dealer near you " (it's at the bottom of the page) There might be differences in price by region.

my problem is that i would like an aftermarket alarm but i got the power option and my key is already big as hell. add another remote and i will need a back pack to carry both of them. i went to the dealer and they said they could not cut me a smaller key with a chip in it. can someone without a factory alarm tell me what kind of key you have perhaps a part number or something. went to 2 dealers that said it would still be the same size but that sounds retarded to have a key with remote buttons without an alarm. is it possible just to add a proximity and hood sensor to my factory alarm? just want it to go off if someone puts there hand in with the top down. i know they can still steal it pretty easy to pull the ebrake and off it goes.

You should be able to get keys without the electric goodies to work. They still have the same "security" system in them, and you can buy them on a major electronic auction site that rhymes with sea-ray. Then you can add whatever alarm remote, although some of those are ridiculously big as well.

I think he means e-bay. Do a search or two, there was a thread a while back talking about the rock keys and you had to have the one with an "S" on it for it to work.

The viper one is 300V. It comes w/a shock sensor and you can add infrared motion sensor. Also you don't need extra remotes, it works w/your factory keys.
