Default 2015 JKUR, Mopar 7-Pin Harness, Redarc Tow Pro Elite - wiring questions

Sorry if answered elsewhere, eyes are blurry and crushed for time....

2015 JKUR, MOPAR 7-pin harness and Redarc Tow Pro Elite

Have seen conflicting info (or I am just confused)

1. Do I still need to splice into the tan/white line for the brake lights?
2. If so, what type of splice/connector has worked best in such tight space?
3. What type of connectors did you use to run to wiring to battery? Is it easier to use the supplied harness that plugs into the Redarc unit?
4. Best/easiest ground location?
5. MOPAR harness already has fuse - do still need fuse(s) inline from Redarc to battery?

Thanks!
