Everything that I read about the uconnect 430 with Nav in my 2011 Rubi seems to point towards using a center console USB to hook up my ipod classic 30gb. Problem is, I can't find a center console USB in my vehicle? Am I missing something? If so, can I hook up the ipod through the faceplate USB? I have tried this, and it does not seem to recognize the ipod. This is driving me nuts, so any help or info would be appreciated!

Does your Jk have u connect. ? Or did you order or get a Jk with the connectivity package ?

Or the additional steering wheel controls on the left side ?

If not then you received a 430 nav unit that can accept the "optional " connectivity package

But unless your Jk didn't come with it then you do not have a center console USB

It says that it has uconnect, and I do have controls on the left side of the steering wheel. They seem to operate the mileage, compass, etc. The jeep did not come with the connectivity package though. I have been all through the center console, and all I can see is the powerport (lighter style).

if you have a usb it should be inside bottom compartment of arm rest between the seats

You have the standard left side steering wheel buttons not the connectivity package buttons

Since you do not have the connectivity package you will not have this USB port in your center console

Even though you have an U connect button on your radio

U connect was part of the connectivity package which was optional
