Default 2011 JK fog lamps

Have a blown fog lamp. 2 questions for everyone: 1) how do i get the old bulb out??? I can get to it but am not sure how to get the old bulb out, twist-turn-pull?? Second question, should i even replace the bulb or should i look for a total replacement (after market kit) for both lights? I looked at a few companies and am not seeing a factory swap kit that will fit in the OEM fog lamp slot.

Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks

The psx24w bulb has little tabs on it that you have to pinch / push in then it pops right out. As for after market direct replacements there isint really any good ones and the ones that are out there are spendy. Most just drop the stockers and use the stock harness to triger relays for a much better aftermarket set up.

Those bulbs are expensive too. You get it out and another put back in there and the other will blow soon enough.
I just went ahead and bought a set of Vision X replacement LED lights. They fit right in the same places are rated at 900 lumens and will last about 50,000 hours.
I bought a pair to go with my Truck Lites and I love them.
Something to think about.

It is my understanding that the 9145's were installed in the '09 and earlier JK's.
They will not fit without replacing the factory wiring harness connector.

I was looking at getting these to compliment my Headlights(JW) ...bit pricey to say the least but I think they will look sick.
JW Speaker Model 6045 4.5" (PAR36) LED Foglight Complete Upgrade (pair)
and they can be purchased with the bracket to fit aftermarket bumpers.
