a new "Energy SAving" bulb from Phillips. Probelm is that you can't get a replacement anywhere, especially an aftermarket one like PIAA. The factory wiring harness will only allow this weak little light bulb. The part number is
PSX24W.
PSX24W.

oops, i confused this with headlight bulbs.
c/p from another post:
"i found this article http://autonews.gasgoo.com/auto-news...ing-bulbs.html
This can be realized on redesigning our existing products that are already very successful in the market. For example we already have a mature signaling bulbs products with more than 60 years history, but we are today bringing a new HiPerVision bulb series to the market, which uses the TV CRT(Cathode Ray Tube) sealing technology and Halogen bulb filament technology. The HiPerVision bulb has a lifetime of 8000 hours, and consumes less energy. HiPerVision PSX24W bulb can be used to replace 55W H3 bulb.
i ordered 9145's.. come to find out its china's psx24w.. energy savings bulbs... which are same as the h3..
so now i got to return my h10 fog lights (hids) to get h3 bulbs eh
hope this helps some one"

Wait... WHAt!?!?
I spent most of the afternoon reading about HID replacements etc. Has someone actually pulled one of the new bulbs and verified this? Are the plugs different? Maybe they left the plugs alone? (please?!!!)
