Default 07 JK Electrical Quirks

I have had a few weird things happen to my JK in the electrical area and not sure why. If anyone has had any of these similar problems or knows how to fix, let me know. It is rare that these happen, but it has happened more than once and not sure what to do or if the dealer will even do anything about it.

1-Horn honk when UN-locking with keyless FAB-I know it is supposed to honk when locking, but when UN-locking?

2-Headlights and interior light do not turn on after pressing unlock button (yes, it is in set for on when door open).

3-Electric Windows did not work (all four)-This happened only once, but it was weird as none of the windows would work upon pressing the buttons.

I know when I bought my JK, it had Auto Butler on it. I declined to purchase and have a feeling that maybe this system (upon installation and deactivation) has something to do with my problems.

Anyone else with similar problems and suggestions on how to fix, etc. I can't even recreate the problem as it is random and intermittent, so how is the dealer going to believe me. Arrgghhh!! Just frustrated.

Thanks and I have learned a lot from you guys and the JK Forum.

If someone tried to gain access when the alarm was triggered then when you return to open your door it will honk and let you know that, it is in the manual. Not sure about the rest.

I may be an idiot...but what is auto butler? is that the auto start for the ignition and if it is and they removed it then most assuredly the dealership messed up your wiring when removing hence the weird window issues......... I would take it back to the dealer and have them deal with it , you may have a short in your harness.

That's the way almost every oem alarm is set up.
It's kinda handy
I just don't know if I really want to know that someone was messing with my Jeep when I get back to it, you know.
I'd rather it just unlock and look just like I left it.

I've read about others having problems with the back windows not working, but I don't remember anyone saying all their windows quit.

Gotta love it when you have to pull over to reboot your Jeep...

Somewhere there was a short essay on "What if Microsoft built cars?"

This sounds like part of that.

Just hope you don't get the dreaded Microsoft blue screen of death...
