Default Show me your CB and your antenna...

I'm gearing up to install a CB and antenna. I've seen several threads on here about antenna mounting brackets, but I know I've seen more in the past than what I found today. For some reason, the search function isn't helping much. Anyway, I want to see where everyone has been installing their CB's and their antennas. I know I saw at least one guy who put his CB in the glove box and routed the mic to a quick disconnect under the steering wheel on the dash. Anyone got pics and/or a write-up of something like this? Thanks in advance.

try here: https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/sear...archid=1496874

try searching for the terms "mount cb*"

In general people are mounting them on the side of the console, under the glovebox, under the steering wheel, over the mirror, or on the center dash.

i mounted mine right to my center consol lid... make the arm rest a little higher and can hear it fine without having an external speaker.

just a little awkward to change the channel... set it up before you hit the road

TeraFlex has a really nice bracket to install on the spare tire carrier. I've yet to install a CB, but I have the TF mount, think that might be a Christmas present (CB) for me....hint hint...in case she's looking

See here, I made a small bracket for the antenna that fits between the top and body. I can drive with the back window up and I didn't have to do any drilling

What's your wallet look like? You can spend anywhere from $50 to $500.

As well, do you just need to be able to reach 500ft up the trail, or do you want the best range possible?

Here is my CB mount. no pics of antenna. I am running a larger cb so mine is overhead. I fab'd a cross bar and use theaded bolts with wing nut to attach it when top is off. When top is on i use the mfg knob bolts. works good for me. Attachment 15188

Awesome pics guys. Thanks for the help. Now, I just have one more question: JerseyJK07, what the heck is hanging from your rearview mirror?
