100W here too. Any more pictures or details of this install?

I just bought a Yeasu FT-857D and would like to see what types of mounts/antennas/tuners you mobile HF talking JK drivers are sporting!

also if you have a good 2M 70cm dual band antenna setup, I'd like to know that as well.

and don't by shy with the pics!
FT-857D, Little Tarheel II, and TurboTuner. Radio and tuner fit nicely in Tuffy full console.

I've been trying to figure out where to mount my ft-857d. I was starting to think at the drivers right knee would be the only place, but I have a soft top, and I don't want to lose the radio. At least using the remote head makes it pretty clear that there is a lot more to the radio.

How's the RFI with this setup?

Separating the head unit works well for the mount I use and I can remove it in seconds to secure it in the console or under diver's seat in gun drawer. RFI is minimal to nonexistant with sufficient bonding, grounding, and chokes. Keep the coax choke outside the vehicle.

I'm considering the Yaesu FT-857D w/ATAS-120A and some other duel band UHF/VHF Antenna. How do you like your set-up? Did you encounter any install problems? What model and where did you get the install mount?
