Hrm... being an owner of a YJ... I'll say I don't consider it one of the original models. CJ, yes.. YJ.. no. If anything, the YJ was considered the bastard child. First model to have the plastic dash and all.

All that said, I still like our YJ. It's not fancy and it's not nearly as capable as our JK, but it'll put a grin on my face every time I drive it.

 

It's the original "Wrangler".

I love mine too except for the torx bolts.

 

Okay. I'll give you both. Technically the original "Wrangler" and yes, I too, hate the torx bolts.
