I'm debating on a smaller easy to conceal one or just go with a full size 1911... can't decide. probably end up with a smaller one. at least a 40 cal.

HK P30 L. It's pretty big. I wanted the P30 but they were out when I wanted to buy. I shot the "L" and now carry it every day. What I carry it in depends on what I am wearing. Mostly I keep it in a Maxpedition Jumbo. I want to get either a XD 9 compact or Glock 26 before summer gets here. My wife has a service model XD 9 with the 4" barrel. It is every bit as good as my HK.......For 1/2 the price.

Im loving my Glock 30SF. It feels like less recoil than the G21 somehow. Maybe it just fits in my hand a little better? Maybe the 2 spring system lowers the felt recoil? I dunno... but I love it!

 

1911s are nice, but be careful about buying a large gun to carry... if it's too heavy or not comfortable you'll end up just leaving it at home.
Better to carry small than not at all.

 

yeah I'm thinking I should start with a sub-compact or something since it will be my only one for a while. then get something bigger for the home.

 

In my work truck I carry a Glock 30. In my jeep I carry a Ruger Vaquero in 45LC.
