I always mix up the SP101 and the GP100, thanks! I'm old school. Still wear a S&W Scandium Airweight .357 on my ankle every day.

I was just looking for a place to mount my sp-101 holster inside my jeep. I either carry my pf9 or Glock 36 (.45) depending my my clothing, but I love my stainless .357 for stashing in vehicles and toolboxes.

Sorry, can't help you there. I carry on my person. Putting it anywhere else just doesn't make sense for me.

I agree. My best friend was driving home from work at 3am and had a S&W 38 tucked in his driver side door. He was sitting at a red light and a guy walked up on him unnoticed, opened his door, and yanked his ass out onto the pavement, was joined by another perp, and the two of them proceeded to beat the holy crap out of him, mostly kicking him with steel toed biker boots. He was ultimately knocked unconscious. His gun was no help, and wound up stolen, as well, after they ransacked his truck. Had he been carrying concealed in a holster, he said he had MANY opportunities where he could have drawn and shot both of them.

Mine is IWB in a Kydex holster or a Crossbreed style, depending on the gun and how I'm dressed. (I use the Crossbreed style when in a suit or anything where I have to tuck in my shirt.) I can still draw while seated and belted, with the gun at the 3 O'clock position.

Here's the Glock 42 in the Kydex. My G43 is similar. I run Hornady XTP bullets for most carry situations. The .380 and 9mm perform almost identically out of the 42/43, but the 42 is smaller with a bit less recoil. Bullet choice is HUGE with a .380.

I prefer to, and usually do, carry on my person. However, it's not always a possibility for me. Sometimes it's illegal, impractical or frankly, not necessary. In those cases, I still like to know there's a secure and ready sidearm resting peacefully nearby.

It all comes down to individual experiences and preferences. I was more commenting on my love of the sp-101 more than the personal doctrine of carrying.

do you like the LCP? Have you tried out the PF9 from Kel-Tek? I have and carry both, and I've yet to make a true determination between the two. So far, I think I prefer the PF9 because the LCP has too many little quirks in its features. Just curious about another perspective.
