I wonder what a 12 ga slug would do in the way of bringing one of these beasts to a stop...?

Ive done it plenty of times with a maverick 88 pistol gripped using slugs the biggest problem was aiming in the dark and follow up shots if you miss, its more effective with a semi auto using double ought buckshot. I have two builds in progress right now thats going to raise hell on these oinkers I cant wait to get them done!

Well, even from the pics that's what I was guessing. Is he the biggest you've killed then? Also, I was wondering, how many slugs to put this guy down? And when/if you have to shoot multiple times, do you end up loosing much meat to bloodshot? Or is there so much that you don't even worry about it?

And my last question for the moment......lol, are you ready to start jumping down on top of them from a tree and spearing one yet?.....lol I saw a pic of a guy that killed a 700 lb boar that way.....

He's def the biggest I ever dropped, with slugs it really only takes one shot I nailed one in the gutt and it wasnt pretty if your going for the meat I do not recommend a 12g. With the AR it took one shot behind the shoulder using 62gr green tips. I have no plans of dropping down on any hogs anytime soon but you might enjoy this vid.
