Smith & Wesson shield
Just announced and released last Friday I think. Compact 9mm or .40. Looks like the full size M&P pistols so should be a great shooting and reliable gun and looks to be just what I'm wanting for carry.
Not sure if anybody owns or has seen one since its so new. If you do post up some comments and pics. I was planning on buying a Ruger LC9 soon, but I love my M&P .40 and am sure a shield in 9mm would make a great carry gun.

Got lucky and found one the other day, I paid $399 plus tax. I've only had the chance to shoot about 50 rounds. Mix of Remington UMC and Federal Hydrashok. Didn't have a single problem as expected. It's just as well built as my full size M&P
The Shield shoots great. I like the trigger and owning a full size M&P .40 I like the ergonomics a lot too (especially with the extended magazine). . The gun is far more accurate than I am but that's the case with every gun I've shot lol. Managed recoil very well to be a sub compact. I really like the way I shoot 9mm vs .40 so that's something for me to think about in the future.
I don't really have enough rounds through it in order to start carrying it but I think it will conceal well in something like a Crossbreed Supertuck. Being fairly new to concealed carry I hope this can be something I have on me at all times.
Only thing I'm not sure about is the safety. I'm not sure if I'll use it when carrying or not because I find it a bid hard to actuate quickly, practice can help with that obviously. It's slim enough to not snag or engage accidentally but I'm not sure I'd want to fool with it if I had to draw in a self defense situation.
Sorry for the long post, I guess that's my first gun review. Hopefully it helps anyone interested.
