Smith and Wesson 460XVR
Anyone have a S&W 460XVR? How do you like it? I was thinking of getting one eventually. I like the fact that you can shoot 45 long colt, 454 casull or 460 S&W Mag out of it.

Cool! At first I was thinking of getting a .500 but now I think that I would rather have a 460. I have a 44Mag now and love shooting it. would be nice if they came out with a 460 carbine too!

Line from the movie "Dawn of the Dead".......Here are some pussy 9mm and here are the sweet, sweet .357's. Or, something like that any way.

Ha! I had the same thing happen with the 44Mag. Two guys were plinking away with a 9MM. I was about 7 stalls away with the 44Mag. I sent a few down range and they freaked! They went and sat down till I was done! It was an in door range. I offered to let them take a few shots but they were too afraid! I would like to see what the 460 would sound like in that range! So far the 454 casul is the most powerful pistol I have shot.

Yeah, it's a bad ass round, and looks great and all, but with the barrel that thing has on it, it would take you a half hour to draw the damn thing....lol. I looked at it and not only was it out of my price range, but far too impractical for me. I needed something quick and powerful for bear protection. I went with the Ruger Redhawk 45 Colt w/ 4" barrel. Buffalo Bore slugs shooting a 325 grn slug at 1325 fps. Bigger AND faster than the 44 mag.... I'm diggin' it

Yeah I know what you mean. I would use it more for target practicing, maybe hunting. A friend and I usually shoot 100 yds or so when target practicing with the 44mag 8 3/8" barrel and 45 long colt 7 1/2". If you really want something to stop a bear S&W makes a 4" 500 Mag!
