Public elk hunting land??
Does anyone know of a good place to go elk hunting on public land? Trying to find a place to go next year. Don't really care where, just as long as its in the states and preferably an over the counter hunting permit. Thanks in advance!

Look into northern new mexico area. Not sure if its changed, but I used to be able to get an over the counter tag no worries in NM. The Wagon Mound area is a good jumping off point and there is public land around there. I haven't been in a few years to that area, but had success in the past. good luck
