Default One Lucky Dude....???

I got this as an email so decided to check it out. There's rumor goin' round that it's a hoax. Looks and sounds real to me.

You decide......

I have seen that before. It may be real I have experienced that with .556 rounds at a 100yds. except it hit me in the shin and hurt like hell. That was only 55gr not that rock that he launched down range.

I have seen this before as well. The shot is from a .50 BMG. I agree it looks real to me, the guy's reaction looks natural. If that bullet was an inch or two lower, that guy would be dead.

Well.......it's hard to say if he'd be dead or not. I'm sure it lost a hell of a lot of energy after hitting the target then hitting the dirt in front of him. As you may have noticed I posted this in the A&E section as well, and a few guys there said they have been hit by ricochets and it just hurt like hell. I would imagine that there's a good chance that if it hit him in the head it might have glanced off. Not to say that it wouldn't have done some damage tho that's for sure....

A .50 BMG round is typically between 600 and 750 grs or almost 2 ounces, it has a muzzle velocity approaching 3000 fps and produces a muzzle energy of almost 14,000 ft lbs. Having shot this round many times, I can tell you it is an MONSTER of a round and one that could injure someone if thrown hard enough.

Yes.........I understand that, all I'm saying is that it's hard to say how much energy was gone by the time it reached him. It still was movin' pretty fast tho. I sure wouldn't like to find out that's for sure...... He was one lucky dude.

I have an all stock S&W .50 cal five shot revolver. I think it's real. Their muzzle velocity is incredible. However, the gun is more tame to shoot than my Ruger Super Blackhawk. Smith really did their homework on that gun.

Looks pretty real to me... I've been hit by buckshot before while pheasant hunting and though it didn't hurt, it scared the hell out of me.
