cant wait for rifle season! ill be posting! tried to get a axis last weekend but didnt work out! too many hogs

In the same boat as you... unfortunately i'm gonna miss opening weekend probably. But i do get to hunt most of the year in Alabama and on a place that has some HUGE deer. Can't wait!!! Got the bow shooting good and rifle spot on in case i'm feeling lazy that day.

Where you going for the axis?? i'm up the road from you and might be looking for some type of exotic hunt next year after deer season.

my family has land out in leakey texas. about 2 hours past san antonio. by uvalde and kerrville

I hunt Mule Deer with a bow in New Mexico, you get a tag by draw only. 16 days out and only seen 4 bucks, no shots yet. Of course this unit is huge and tons of public land. Today is the last day and it is pouring out, should be a good day anyway.

yeah my dad and 2 uncles got mule deer tags out in utah. they draw tags too. pretty awesome hunting out there.

Yes, I killed my first buck as a kid in UT.....just a thin horned 4 point...(western count) But the guy that was with us killed a massive 4 point that placed 3rd in the Vegas tournament. It was over 40" wide...!!! I know how big it was because me and another kid had to drag it back to camp. They estimated it at around 350 lbs. on the hoof. Oh and get this.....it only had one nut......they say that could be part of the reason it got so big.
