No update as of yet. The legal nuclear bomb should explode right around 4pm today and we will see what the fall out looks like at that point. She has the shotgun and it is loaded with 4+1 rounds of 2-3/4" #4 buckshot (27 pellets per round). Her boyfriend is staying at her house with her for the next several days for reasons undisclosed herein.

The above quote represents my EXACT thoughts on this matter. I REFUSE to wait for a cop to show up 15 minutes after the fact when I can defend myself (or my sister can defend herself) AT THAT SECOND. Bad guys aren't gonna wait. They are gonna show up, do what ever badness they want to do, and get the eff out BEFORE the cops show up so they don't get CAUGHT!!! I guess the criminal element has all the rights in the eyes of some people. My sister's right to live and be healthy doesn't seem to make a shit worth of difference when it comes to protecting the rights of the criminal element. Right? FUCK THAT!!!!! If she is attacked in her own home, she has the right to defend herself, her family, her guests, and her property under Louisiana law. I have looked at the law and there is absolutely NO DUTY TO RETREAT! The law also goes on to state that in a clear self-defense situation, law enforcement can't even detain her for questioning even if the douchebag is dead and bleeding out on her floor and she flat out admits to dispatching the sonuvabitch with all five rounds in quick succession. In other words, anyone who says shooting said douchebag would ruin her life is absolutely wrong and must live in a place like Commiefornia or the Socialist States of New England. Would I rather see this asshole (and his trashy ass family) dead than see my sister scarred for life or dead? You betcha! I don't WANT that to happen but if it came down to being between her and them...I would pick my baby sis over that bunch of worthless bottom dwellers any day of the year. They aren't even worthy of being called trailer trash because they give trailer trash a bad image.
