Thats correct.if bow shooting high then raise pin on sight. You have to move sight when correcting left and right issues.also shoot 3 arrows in row before adjusting.if they group together then adjust

Not sure if this was said already, but I took a class at Gander Mountain... the guy teaching it was a bow hunter and an archery coach (for real - he coached outside of the class at GM). I learned a ton on how to shoot at a target, breathing, stance... all that good stuff. Also, enough on shooting from a stand that I feel pretty confident (had a son after the class - so all my bow shooting has been at paper).
I shoot an Elite bow. My buddy shoots a Gander Mountain special (meaning it was on sale at the time). I am a bit more consistent than him... with what I paid for the bow, I hope the bow is the reason.
Seriously though, Elite has a Guarantee that if you are on a hunt and you screw up your bow. They will ship you a loaner that you can use for the rest of the hunt. When your hunt is over, you return the loaner. http://www.elitearchery.com/warranty/

Edit: Just read the "guarantee" AFTER I posted. I see that, like you said, If YOU screw up your bow (not them) they will loan you a bow. That really is pretty good.

Yeah, I do not think you are really going to have to worry too much about the bow failing - unless you made some "adjustments". The bow is not cheap - I tend to lean more towards the "You do not always get what you pay for" saying, but not with this bow.
By the way, I bought mine used - not enough scratch for a new one.
