Default Elk at work this morning

I posted this in the photography section also, but thought you hunter types might appreciate it too, in case you don't browse that one.

This herd is actually hanging about all the time, but it's such a large site, this is the first chance I got to stop while they were close and get my good camera out to take some decent photos.
Here are a few of the pics...

This one is in central Washington state, just east of Ellensburg.
I love showing photos like this to people who criticize our windfarms, saying they scare all the wildlife away.

NTXJK, you used to live in TX, yeah?
My last job was on Kenedy Ranch south of Kingsville, I think you saw my dead boar photos from there in another thread.
I've got all sorts of cool pics of wildlife down on that one... Nilgai, deer, snakes, hogs/boars/javelina, lizards, birds... you name it!
I can't believe the variety of creatures you guys have down there.

Yeah TX has a lot of game and tons of critters as much as I love to hunt and be in the woods I only go out during the fall or winter because im horrified of snakes, I was up in Aubrey and man the copperheads and water moccasin will show you whos boss unless you got a pistol grip 12g . I miss TX everyday man right now its prime time for a kill and I sure could use some hog meat
