Wait a minute......since when are hunters allowed to kill a cow with a calf...??? Maybe I can believe you about the bull, "IF" I see the pics, but I've never heard anywhere that a cow w/ calf is legally allowed to be killed. So I call BS as well......

I know in Alberta when you got drawn for a Cow Moose you could take the calf BUT IF: the calf is male the antlers had to be less than 10inches to fit under the cow tag).

I have taken down- moose calfs with a cow moose tag as A): Mom will have a better survival chance B): Mom can reproduce next year C): young moose meat tastes awesome D): A little easier to pack out 300-400lbs of meat vs 8-900lbs.

However, I have to wonder how they got 3 moose tags???? Group hunt????

Similar laws in Manitoba. I would assume group hunt, it must have been a bigger group to get three tags
