Any other Jeepers out there into firearms?

No, but they dedicated a section of the forum to it anyway.

All metal parts are covered by polymer except the action on the 887. It's supposed to be extremely water resistant and mine is doing great at that so far this duck season. But the action isn't as smooth as the 870 and I've found several quirks that once you get used to aren't a problem, but when we went out to shoot skeet last week my friends had some trouble with it because of the quirks. It does shoot 3.5 inch shells though...those SOBs have some kick!
Sorry to hear about no vehicle, at least you can dream about a jeep like me!

yeah, 3.5" shells pack a punch, not fun to shoot a bunch. haha.
I'm a Mossberg guy myself when it comes to boomsticks.
yeah, i have been dreaming so much that when i call the wife over the to look at something on the computer her first response is something to the effect of, if that has anything to do with Jeeps i'm not even walking over there. haha.

Hah mossberg makes some badass shottys. A buddy of mine bought a brand new 700+ dollar Remington automatic out duck hunting one day when it was raining a little. It jammed up so bad he couldn't get the action open to get the shell out. Luckily he brought his 12 year old mossberg pump and was able to get 6 or so ducks.
