Well what was the optimal air pressure in the snow? Do the stock tires outperform wider tires ? I'll be going up there this week and I got my new 35 x 12.5's on. Was kinda wondering if narrower tires would be better in the snow and pulling a trailer.

I have 285/70-17 all terrains. They did great once I aired down to 10psi. We all started out with normal street pressures until we were have problems. I actually tried it at 20, then 15, and then had to go down to 10 to top one of the hills. I was also at the rear of the pack so I had it easy. The guys blazing the trail in the fresh powder were doing all the work.

Yeah I also was being stubborn and thought going down to 20 would be fine, but had to get out and air down to about 11-12 to make it up one of the hills. Im running the stock Bridgestone duelers, and once I was aired down was fine. I do think the guys with the bigger tires and better tread had it a little easier than me. So I dont think the tire width is that much of a factor, but just the air pressure

I didn't know if I made a mistake mounting 35's in the winter or not.
If you wanted any 33/12.5's with 15" wheels I just posted in the for sale.
Thanks for the advise I'll remember this in the snow, One more reason to keep my air comp in the jeep all year
